Norton Road: One hospitalised after motorbike car crash

Multiple police vehicles and an ambulance attended the crash on Norton Road, Stockton, this morning (January 15) just before 8am.

The road was closed for some time and motorists were diverted away from the area whilst it was made safe by police but has since re-opened and traffic is moving through the area smoothly.

Cleveland Police said: “Shortly before 8am on Wednesday 15 January police were called to a collision on Norton Road near to the junction of Derwent Street in Stockton.

“The collision involves a motorbike and a car.”

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We were called to road traffic collision this morning (15 January) shortly before 8am.

“We dispatched one ambulance crew and one clinical team leader. One patient was taken to North Tees hospital.”
