Northumberland festival for small businesses a ‘success’

The Northumberland Small Business Service Enterprise Festival was a ‘success’, bringing together aspiring entrepreneurs, industry experts, and seasoned investors.

The event aimed at pre-start businesses provided practical business skills, an expert panel, and valuable networking opportunities.

Workshops by Sam Hook, Unique Thinking, and SME Centre of Excellence focused on increasing confidence, perfecting pitches, and crafting robust business plans.

One of the event’s highlights was the panel Q&A session, providing insights into the business world.

Attendees also had the opportunity to present their business pitch.

They were informed about the NSBS Enterprise Grant, which offers up to £2,000 to businesses trading for less than one year.

One attendee said: “These events have been a big eye opener and it’s really nice to be around such happy, friendly and supportive people.”

NSBS programme manager, Lucy Evermore, said: “It was incredible to see so much passion and creativity from the entrepreneurs who joined us.

“We’re thrilled to have provided the tools and opportunities they need to take their next steps, and we can’t wait to see what they achieve.”
