The region was hit with heavy snowfall last week, which was exacerbated by sub-zero temperatures across two overnight periods.
Bin collections were cancelled throughout last week but the council have announced the plan for people living in each district of North Yorkshire when it comes to bin collections.
On its website, North Yorkshire Council said: “Household waste and recycling collections may be delayed this week due to snow and bad weather.”
Richmondshire area
Household waste: The council will continue to collect household waste as normal where possible but some collections may be delayed – continue to leave your bin out and the council will collect it as soon as possible.
Recycling: All recycling collections are cancelled today, Monday 13 January – take your recycling back in and the council will take any additional material at the next scheduled collection.
Harrogate area
The council will continue to collect as normal where possible but some collections may be delayed.
The council have advised that people keep any excess recycling clean and dry and put it in clear sacks; they will collect it in the next recycling collection as normal.
Hambleton area
The council will continue to collect as normal where possible but some collections may be delayed. The council will collect any missed recycling at the next scheduled collection.
Craven area
The council will continue to collect as normal where possible but some collections may be delayed. Any collections they miss will be done on Monday, January 13 instead.
Ryedale and Selby areas
The council will continue to collect as normal where possible but some collections may be delayed.

Leave your bin out and the council return to collect it over the next few days.
