Sing Louder Choir
What a marvellous way to kick of Christmas listening to the Sing Louder Choir in the intimate surroundings and beautiful acoustics of St Nics Church.
Hannah Maskell enthusiastically led her choir, accompanied by James Ellicot through a selection of traditional carols and contemporary Christmas songs. These were broken up by Daniel Maskell’s informative and always witty commentary and a couple of guest solo appearances from Caitlyn Maskell, recently returned from her first season of entertaining holidaymakers.

The concert was split into two halves with complementary hot chocolate and mince pies served in the interval which was an unexpected treat. During the songs we were treated to some lovely solo moments from Hannah Waugh, Linda Ling, Amanda Maskell and Sarah Scott but more importantly it was a pleasure to watch the whole choir singing and enjoying what they were doing.
The choir had obviously worked hard on the harmonies and music which showed through in the sound produced, which is a credit to them and Hannah. The audience applauded each song and cheered the choir at the end.
Thank you for very enjoyable evening and igniting my Christmas spirit.
