Greater Anglia has announced that Brimsdown Station will receive new passenger waiting shelters.

The shelters will be installed on platforms one and two and will help protect people from the elements as they wait for trains.

They are made from metal and glass and manufactured by Macemain Amstad.

Greater Anglia is investing £250,000 in the work, which is expected to be completed in March.

Greater Anglia’s asset management director Simone Bailey said: “We are pleased to be installing new shelters at Brimsdown to improve the facilities for station users.

“Investing in upgrades to stations across the network is extremely important to Greater Anglia, demonstrating our commitment to providing excellent facilities and service standards for our customers.”

“We apologise for any inconvenience while this work is carried out.”
