After working in events, Chris Forster decided to change path and follow in the footsteps of his family.
The 36-year-old comes from a family of pub owners, starting with his grandad Colin who ran multiple venues across Warrington.
“I’ve always been around the industry and it’s just something I was looking for the right venue that would give me the right opportunities to do what I want to put on,” he said.

Chris found the perfect location in The Saracens Head, off Wilderspool Causeway, and is now focused on creating a ‘family feel’ to the pub.
“The idea is to kind of get a real community pub back in the area,” he said.
“It’s an opportunity to put my own stamp on a venue. It was closed for a while for a full refurb and there were a lot of customers and regulars that used to come in here but for one reason or another stopped coming in.
“I saw it as a challenge to kind of get them back and we’re slowly but surely doing that.
“It’s somewhere people can come in and feel comfortable – from kids right up to grandparents.”
The 36-year-old hopes that the pub will become the perfect spot for sports fans, inspired by his sons’ love of sports.

Coach trips will even be running to and from the pub every time Warrington Wolves play away.
“I’m hoping that there will be a number of Warrington Wolves fans that start coming to the pub and take the offer up on the coach,” said Chris.
“My goal is to get the locals that used to come in here whilst adding new fresh faces to the place. We’re starting to see that happen already.”
The public house will also be home to weekly quiz nights, monthly northern soul nights and tribute acts.
