A POPULAR New Forest steam show has handed out more than £30,000 to local charities and good causes.
The Netley Marsh Steam & Craft Show, which was first held in 1971, took place at Meadowmead Farm, Netley Marsh, in July.
Visitors enjoyed a packed programme of events including a steam arena, displays of classic cars and motorcycles, heavy horse parades and live evening music.

A recent presentation evening held at Empire Hall in Totton was hailed “a huge success” by organisers, with over 250 in attendance. A hog roast on the night was gifted by The Brazen Butcher.
Spokesperson Will Cornell told the A&T: “Following the 2024 show, we were able to donate over £30,000 to local charities and good causes.
“The presentation evening was a great opportunity to meet with the recipients of the cheques and to find out what the money they received will be put towards.”
He added: “The Netley Marsh Steam & Craft Show is run by a volunteer committee, with each member giving up a lot of spare time throughout the year to put the show on. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our show sponsors and supporters, as well as our visitors,”
