The Labour representative has been at the House of Commons this week, discussing a range of different topics, including NHS waiting times and quizzing the new director of BBC Scotland, Hayley Valentine.
Ms Stewart has been vocal about trying to reduce waiting lists in Scotland’s NHS and says the Scottish Government must get to work to achieve this.
First Minister, John Swinney, has recently said he aims to fix a number of NHS-related issues, like delayed discharges and the number of Scots on waiting lists.
Speaking about her week in London, the Ayrshire MP said: “It’s been a busy week in Westminster. In the House of Commons this week, I’ve raised issues of the NHS waiting list in Scotland.
“Almost one in six Scots are on a waiting list, and now the Scottish Government has been given the additional funding thanks to a Labour budget and they need to get to work to bring the waiting list down.
“In Scottish affairs, we grilled the new director of the BBC about their ambitions and priorities for 2025, and the work they’re doing to bring and attract new audiences.
“I’m looking forward to coming back to the constituency. I’ll be in Drongan and Cumnock and hope to speak to some of you over that time.”
