Motorists warned as Hope Street in Glasgow cut to one lane

The busy street will be reduced to a single lane between West George Street and West Regent Street for approximately eight weeks from Monday 6 January 2025.

The publicly-owned utility has also been given permission to close West Regent Lane to all vehicles between Renfield Street and Hope Street.

“We appreciate it is going to be inconvenient for people living in and travelling through the city centre, but this really is the only way we can carry out the repair safely.

“We will work with affected businesses and residents to minimise the impact of the works and we would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding.”
