More snow has hit the area overnight, with temperatures set to bounce around 2C for the rest of the day.
Local police say, “We are currently experiencing heavy snowfall across most of Wrexham county. Please only take necessary journeys and if you do need to travel please leave plenty of time to do so.
“Please ensure any snow on vehicles is removed prior to commencing journeys and ensure you have warm clothing and supplies in your vehicles.”
As of 8:15am only one school is listed as closed by Wrexham Council, Ysgol Bryn Alyn due to “Complications as a result of inclement weather”.
Arriva say on buses, “Wrexham depot services are now running main roads only”.
The Met Office has issued a Yellow Weather Warning for snow and ice in the region, in effect until midday on Monday, creating hazardous conditions on untreated roads and pavements.
Rain is due on some forecasts, whereas others have more sleet/snow due later today.
