Heavy snow overnight and into this morning have turned the local area into a perfect wintry landscape.
Moray and Aberdeenshire schools were closed today due to the blanketing, which also caused difficult road conditions across rural areas.

However, the public have also taken countless photos of the idyllic winter scenes across the region.
Pictures of Aberlour, Forres, Elgin, Portnockie and Mulben show the huge ranges of towns and villages feeling the force of the cold snap.
In Moray, Mortlach Primary, Knockando Primary, Rothes Primary, Aberlour Primary, Craigellachie Primary, Tomintoul Primary and Glenlivet Primary were all closed today.
Snow also led to the closure of Speyside High School.
A host of opening delays and school transport disruption was also experiences across Elgin Academy, Dallas Primary, Mosstowie Primary, Lhanbryde Primary and Forres Academy.
