Mohammed Mutasir was found guilty of four counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a child and two counts of supplying class A drugs to his victim at Worcester Crown Court.
The court heard he carried out the offences in April 2022 when he groomed a 15-year-old girl from Redditch by sending her messages via social media.
Following numerous messages between them, they arranged to meet and Mutasir picked up the victim in his car supplying her with cocaine.
Under the influence of alcohol and drugs, he sexually abused the girl in a car park in Birmingham.
On further occasions, a similar pattern of events took place including where Mutasir supplied his victim with drugs before sexually assaulting her.
Mutasir, aged 48, of Aldgate Grove in Birmingham, was handed the seven-year sentence after he was found guilty at Worcester Crown Court in November 2024 following a trial that lasted 7 days.
Detective Constable Julia Proctor, from the child exploitation team in North Worcestershire said: “Mutasir’s actions were abhorrent.
“He exploited his victim, building her trust by grooming her on social media before arranging to meet her and drugging her for his own sexual gain.
“The outcome at court does not take away the pain the victim and the family have suffered, but I hope that now Mutasir is behind bars means they can find some solace from that.
“We should never forget the victim who has been incredibly brave to talk about the traumatic experience they suffered in 2022. No child should ever be put through abhorrent acts such as this and we would encourage anyone who has been or is a victim of child exploitation or knows someone who has or is a victim to come forward.
“We take reports of sexual assault and sexual offences incredibly seriously and will continue to seek prosecution against anybody who thinks it is okay to commit these types of offences.
“You will be listened to, and we will continue to take action against offenders.”
