Art on a Postcard is hosting an online auction to raise money for Insulate Ukraine (IU), a charity founded by Oakley resident Louis Hall.
The auction will take place between January 21 and February 4.
Since January 2023, Insulate Ukraine has installed more than 36,000 emergency windows across Ukraine.
The windows are designed to be both insulating and shatterproof.
The initiative has provided paid work for local Ukrainians and primarily assists civilians living within 70km of the frontline.
The auction aims to increase the rollout of these windows in Ukraine, where they are urgently needed due to the ongoing war and harsh winter conditions.
Each window costs around £16 to make and install.
The auction promises to generate a ‘significant impact’, transforming the lives of Ukrainian communities by providing them with the means to return home and build resilience amid the ongoing conflict.
The auction can be found on the Givergy website. givergy.uk/artonapostcardxinsulateukraine.
Fifteen artists have been selected to create postcard-sized artworks for the auction.
Highlights include a Joseph Black painting, a Caroline Zurmley diptych, a piece by Korean artist Minyoung Kim, and a geometric abstract by Vanessa Jackson RA.
All bidding will start at £50.
Art on a Postcard is an initiative started by The Hepatitis C Trust, a registered charity in England and Scotland.
The initiative was initially intended as a one-off secret postcard auction in 2014 but developed into an ongoing initiative due to its success.
