SCOTS Tots, the Sutton Scotney Baby and Toddler Group, is now taking its Christmas break, following its Christmas party on December 13. The group will be returning on Friday, January 10 in the Victoria Hall, where attendees will be making calendars for the year ahead.
THE next talk by the Dever Valley Local History Society will be on Tuesday, February 11 at 7.30pm at the Warren Centre, Micheldever Station. The talk will be given by local Blue and Green Badge tour guide Erica Wheeler and will discuss the disasters that have shaped Hampshire (and their silver linings). Entry costs £5 and a donation bar will be available.
VINYASA With Vikki will be returning to South Wonston Pavilion on Sunday, January 5 between 10am and 12noon. THE next meeting of the Micheldever Village Lunch will be at the Northbrook Hall, Micheldever, on Wednesday, February 5. Starting at 12.30pm, the meal costs £5 for a freshly prepared two-course lunch, a glass of sherry or wine and coffee. It is a very sociable occasion where old friends meet and new friends are made. Transport can be provided for those without their own vehicles or for the less mobile of attendees. WINCHESTER band Flaxen Hill will perform at The Drovers in South Wonston. Starting at 7pm on February 15, the concert will bring the band’s unorthodox takes on traditional tunes to the Hampshire village. On their Facebook page, Flaxen Hill write: “Flaxen Hill are a Winchester band that blend acoustic & electric guitar with violin, bass & mandolin. We play familiar tunes in unfamiliar ways. Every song is an adventure, every gig a journey. We love it.”
