A misty stretch is expected throughout, with less than a 5 per cent chance of rain.
Thursday evening will see temperatures start at 4°C at 4pm, dropping to 3°C between 6pm and 10pm, and settling at 2°C by 11pm.
In the early hours of Friday, the temperature will stay at 2°C until 6am, then rise to 3°C at 7am and reach 4°C by 9am.
However, the temperature on Thursday afternoon and evening will feel significantly cooler and will be 1°C at 4pm, 0°C at 5pm, and will drop to -1°C between 7pm and 10pm.
On Friday, the Met Office says the ‘feels like’ temperature will be -2°C between midnight and 6am, -1°C at 7am, 0°C at 8am, and 1°C by 9am.

Wind will be blowing from the south at 8-10 mph, with gusts between 18 mph and 24 mph.

The weather warning, effective from January 17 to January 21, is expected to lead to a rise in deaths across the region.
The alert is also in place for the North West, Yorkshire and The Humber, and the Midlands, warning of significant health risks and pressures on social care services as temperatures plummet.
