Heavy rain and thawing snow is expected tomorrow morning (Sunday January 5) which could lead to flooding in places.
There may be 15 to 25 mm of rainfall, which may result in travel disruption, so people are advised that bus and train journeys and driving may take longer than usual.

The warning comes after yellow and amber warnings were issued on Friday ahead of an expected snowfall later today.

Snow and freezing rain is expected to hit the region, with disruption to transport and other services likely.
The Met Office said: “Snow will become persistent and locally heavy as it pushes south to north.”
3-7 cm of snow is likely for much of the area and more on higher ground.
Snow may turn to freezing rain for a time, adding to the risk of ice.
