Melanie Davies and Sophie Pelham Burn, who met at Bury St Edmunds business networking event, launch programme aimed at beating the winter blues

Got the winter blues? A new online programme from specialists who met at a Bury St Edmunds business networking event could be the answer.

When Melanie Davies and Sophie Pelham Burn met they realised their combined expertise could help people to manage drepression and keep the winter blues at bay.

Together, they developed a four-week programme including nutritional guidance, mindset and lifestyle support, combined with hypnotherapy to empower people with tips and tools to stay positive, manage energy levels and optimise immunity.

Melanie Davies, sleep and stress management consultant and clinical hypnotherapist, said: “I have struggled myself for years during the long, dark winters. I wanted to create a programme to help others like me be able to adapt and be more contented through the winter season.”

Sophie Pelham Burn, an expert in how to make the mind-gut connection work well, said: “The programme we put together covers everything from mood boosting foods to choose and when to eat them to maintain energy, maximise resistance to those winter bugs and optimize your sleep.”

The programme is delivered in four weekly live sessions on zoom, with the first sessions well received by participants who reported ongoing positive lifestyle changes as a result.
