Man sought by police after shoplifter steals nearly £100 in alcohol from Co-op in Bransgore

POLICE have released a CCTV picture of a man they want to find after nearly £100 in alcohol was stolen from a Bransgore store.

A shoplifter reportedly targeted the Co-op on Oak Tree Parade around 11.45am on Sunday 22nd December, making off with drink valued at £91.

Sharing the picture three weeks later, officers have urged people to come forward to help identify the man.

He is white, aged around 40, about 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with short brown hair, wearing a flat cap, green jacket, blue jeans and black Nike trainers, and carrying a red shopping bag.

A Hampshire force spokesperson said: “We believe the man in this image can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us.

“Also, if you witnessed the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam or doorbell camera footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
