However, he has announced on his LinkedIn profile that he is stepping away from the cancer support charity to move into the world of football with Caley Thistle.
There, he will be taking up the role of commercial business manager.
On the social media, he wrote: “After an incredible 10 years working with Maggie’s Centres, I’ve made the decision that it’s time for a change. It has truly been a privilege to contribute to such a wonderful charity that offers such vital and life-changing support to people living with cancer and their families.
“I am grateful to have had the opportunity to work alongside so many brilliant and passionate individuals. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported and contributed to Maggie’s throughout my years.
“Together, we’ve created some remarkable achievements. I am especially proud of my fundraising team and all that we’ve accomplished from inspiring events to building exceptionally successful corporate partnerships, it’s been an honour to play a part in helping to make a difference.
“I’m delighted to be taking up the position of commercial business manager at Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to transfer my skill set to make an impact both commercially and within the local football community.”
Inverness Caledonian Thistle are currently in administration after years of financial mismanagement.
Administrators BDO said in their last update to the media that they hoped to be in a position to put forward a preferred bidder soon, but in the meantime work has already been going into engaging with the community in the Highland capital.
A deal with Stagecoach was agreed to put on an extra bus between the city centre and Caledonian Stadium on matchdays, while the ICT Supporters’ Trust have hailed the impact of work to improve Bar 94 at the stadium.
