Basingstoke and Deane’s motorists will have 10 road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.
And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.
The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:
• A303, from 8pm December 9 2024 to 6am January 29 2025, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound, Bullington to Tot Hill, carriageway closure for resurfacing work.
• M3, from 8pm January 2 to 6am February 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 both directions, junction 6, slip road and lane closure for maintenance work.
And a further six closures will begin over the next two weeks:
• A303, from 8pm January 21 to 6am January 25, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 eastbound, Bullington to Popham, carriageway closure for tree works.
• A34, from 8pm January 21 to 6am January 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Tot Hill to Bath Interchange, Lane closure for barrier work.
• A34, from 8pm January 22 to 6am January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Bullington to Whitchurch, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.
• A34, from 9.30pm January 22 to 6am January 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Whitchurch, slip road and lane closures for maintenance work.
• A303, from 8pm January 25 to 6am February 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 northbound, Kingsworthy to Bullington, carriageway closure for barrier work.
National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
