Laverstock & Ford FC deliver Salisbury Foodbank food boxes

Players, management, coaches and committee members of Laverstock & Ford FC volunteered on Sunday, December 22, to support the Salisbury Foodbank.

The group, known as the Bulldogs, assisted in distributing festive food boxes to families in need.

The manager of Laverstock & Ford FC, Liam McConnell, said: “It was a pleasure to have been asked to get the team involved, as a club we were delighted to have helped.

“The players were totally committed to playing their part, and it was a brilliant team effort from everyone involved.”

He said: “This partnership with Laverstock & Ford FC proved to be a great match and enabled us to meet our goal of delivering some core essential and Christmas treats to families who had been nominated by local schools.

“A great result for 785 people, the foodbank and the football club.

“A huge thank you to the club, they are champions. We’re looking forward to the second round next year.”

The Salisbury Foodbank provides vital support to families during difficult times.
