Latest cases heard at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court

From cases involving criminal damage to harassment, dozens of people go before the justice system each week with those found guilty receiving penalties ranging from fines and disqualifications to prison sentences. 

Here’s a list of people from Wyre Forest, Redditch and Bromsgrove who have appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court recently: 

Lee Price 

Age: 34

Address: Byron Way, Catshill, Bromsgrove

On July 28, 2024, Price was accused of sending a message via a public electronic communications network, namely Facebook, which was considered offensive/indecent/obscene or menacing. 

He pleaded guilty to the offence last month and was fined £292 and issued with a restraining order. Court costs: £85 and a surcharge of £117. 

Adam Harris

Age: 31

Address: Exhall Close, Redditch 

On May 29, 2024, Harris was accused of assaulting someone thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm. 

He indicated a guilty plea and was handed a community order and must comply with rehabilitation activity. Compensation: £50. 

Harris was also accused of criminal damage to property valued under £5,000 between March 25, 2024, and March 29, 2024. He was accused of damaging a wing mirror of a Suzuki Liana to the value of £75. 

He pleaded guilty to the offence and ordered to pay £55 in compensation. 

Kyle McLeod-Finch 

Age: 37 

Address: Dowles Road, Kidderminster 

On April 3, 2024, McLeod-Finch was accused of stealing four bottles of wine and a jar of coffee from B&M Bargains in Kidderminster to the value of £40. 

He pleaded guilty to the offence and was fined £60. Compensation: £40. 

Daniel Hawkins 

Age: 37 

Address: Crabtree Drive, Bromsgrove 

Between July 14, 2024, and September 20, 2024, Hawkins was accused of stalking involving serious alarm/distress. He was accused of sending abusive voice messages, text messages and attending the place of work and home of the victim. 

He initially pleaded not guilty then changed his plea to guilty. 

He was handed a restraining order and a custodial sentence of 30 weeks imprisonment. Costs: £300 and a surcharge of £154. 

On July 23, 2024, Hawkins was also accused of damaging property valued under £5,000, namely a television, in Redditch.

He pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced to 2 weeks in prison to run concurrently.
