The former Labour leader, who is now an independent MP in Islington North, London, gave his support to the newspaper’s winter appeal this week.
The National is donating £10 to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) on behalf of new subscribers until the end of the month.
It comes after the team ran a fundraiser for the charity last year, raising over £130k for those in need of desperate medical assistance as a result of Israel’s atrocities.
The National’s striking front pages on Palestine have been seen widely around the world, with calls for a ceasefire, challenges to the UK Government and calls for Holyrood to distance itself from the Israeli regime represented across these editions.
Meanwhile, the newspaper has been dedicated to holding the UK’s broadcast media to account on its coverage of what Amnesty International and other human rights organisations have concluded is a “genocide”.
This week the newspaper has been reporting on Israel’s ongoing airstrikes while ceasefire talks continue – with plans to continue its dedicated reporting long after the deal’s approval.
Backing The National’s winter appeal for MAP, Corbyn said: “Well done to The National for its moral leadership one of the greatest injustices of our time. And thank you to MAP workers who continue to display remarkable bravery in the most horrific conditions imaginable.”
