The investigation into the rape of a 13-year-old boy from three years ago has taken a step forward with the release of an e-fit.
Essex Police has released the composite image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident from February 2021.
The boy was walking on country lanes between Halstead and Gestingthorpe, near Sudbury, when he was approached by a man.

The suspect asked for directions to Halstead, and then raped the boy.
The man is believed to be white, around six feet two inches tall, of a strong build with a belly and a thin, wrinkled face.
He has brown hair, stubble and reportedly blotches on his skin.
He was wearing a red top and jeans.
