Police have warned “several” motorists over their speeds outside an Inverness school after carrying out spot safety checks.
Officers also had words with several others about parking on zig-zag lines at Hilton Primary School during their safety awareness push on Tuesday morning.
And they have promised to carry out further high-visibility checks around other schools in the city “in the coming weeks” as they strive to raise awareness of the dangers poor motoring behaviour can pose.

“Several motorists were warned about their speed and other motorists offered words of advice regarding parking on zig zags.
“Inverness community beat officers will be carrying out further road safety checks around schools across the city of Inverness in the coming weeks to ensure the safety of children going to and from schools.”
