A gas leak has sparked the immediate closure of an Inverness road.
Highland Council said the closure, at Green Drive’s junction with Culduthel Road, is for “public safety”.
The stretch of road will also remain closed for the rest of January while repairs are carried out.
Confirming the closure, Highland Council said: “Part of Green Drive, Inverness, [is closed] between its junction with Culduthel Road (B861) and [the] junction at access to Green Drive Hall, with immediate effect until 12.30pm on Friday, January 31.
“The closure is require in the interests of public safety following a gas leak.”
