Work to restore power to faulty Inverness city centre traffic lights is continuing for a second day.
A crew from energy firm SSEN is present at the busy Inverness city centre junction between Ness Bridge and Castle Road/Bank Street.
Drivers faced disruption from early on Wednesday morning when Highland Council first investigated the issue.
Motorists and pedestrians are warned to take extra care when crossing near the lights.

In updates last night SSEN said: “We’d like to thank pedestrians and drivers in Inverness for their patience today as our teams continue with their work to restore the power supply to the traffic lights at Ness Bridge, which are currently out of operation due to an underground cable fault.
“We appreciate the inconvenience that this fault on our cable network has caused, especially with the current winter weather conditions, and we’re on site working to restore the power supply to these lights as safely and as quickly as possible.
“We ask that pedestrians and drivers take extra care while we undertake these works.”
