Image of woman released after car damage on North Lodge Road

A total of 11 vehicles were left scratched and damaged on North Lodge Terrace in town between December 29 and 30, as previously revealed.

An investigation then began into the incidents – now leading police to release an image of a woman on social media who they wish to speak to in connection with the damages.

A picture of a woman police wish to speak to. (Image: DARLINGTON POLICE) The statement reads: “Do you recognise this woman? We would like to speak to her after several cars were damaged on North Lodge Terrace over the last couple of weeks.

“If you recognise her or know who she is, please don’t comment here.

“Instead call us on 101, quoting crime reference number CRI00590780 or contact us online.”

A previous police statement read: “Officers have received reports of 11 vehicles being damaged by being scratched with a sharp implement.

“The vehicles were damaged at some point between 10pm on December 29 and 11am on December 30.

“Investigations are continuing, including examining CCTV from the area. Anyone with information is asked to ring Durham Constabulary on 101, referencing incident 116 of December 30”.
