Iconic Scottish dish ranked among world’s worst by TasteAtlas

SCOTLAND is well-known for our cuisine. After all, we’ve got a number of restaurants about to enter the Michelin guide.

However, it’s safe to say there’s some which prove more divisive than others.

And that certainly seems to be the case for TasteAtlas, who have rated a Scottish dish as one of the “worst in the world”.

Featured alongside chocolate-covered bacon from the USA and Japan’s rice burger was a deep-fried pizza.

Overall, the dish was ranked in 63rd place, lodged right in-between basler mehlsuppe from Switzerland and pizza-ghetti from Canada.

Things could be worse though as the good people of Finland have to face the fact that their traditional bloodpalt is apparently the worst dish in the world.

There was bad news too for Spain with its bocadillo de sardinas – a sandwich filled with canned sardines – which came in at number two on the list.
