Hunslet residents to elect a new committee

Following the announcement the current committee wishes to stand down, residents have been invited to attend the annual general meeting of the Hunslet Tenants & Residents Association, where a new committee will be selected to represent residents in the area.

The meeting takes place on Tuesday 14 January 2025, starting at 6pm at Involve Centre, Whitfield Avenue, Hunslet, LS10 2QE. Light refreshments will be available.

Areas covered by the group include: Hemingway, Midlands, Rochefords, Sussexs, Belinda Street, Balmoral Chase, Grove Road, and Lupton Street.

Cllr Paul Wray (Labour, Hunslet & Riverside) who has been arranging the meeting on behalf on the outgoing committee said:

“Residents Associations play a vital role in connecting the residents together and acting as a partner to Council and other services.

“Thank you to the outgoing resident volunteers for their time and effort, including some great community events.

“I look forward to working with the new committee.”
