Health Foods and Therapies For You, in Sudbury, announces expansion of Nature’s Temple service to mark five years at current home

A Sudbury health shop is celebrating five years at its current town centre home, by expanding its popular therapy rooms.

Health Foods and Therapies For You announced an expansion of Nature’s Temple, the outlet’s beauty and complementary therapy service, which is set to launch next month.

Work is under way to reconfigure the store’s floorspace to create two additional therapy rooms, thereby increasing the number of treatments available.

In addition to existing offerings such as massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, cryotherapy, vitamin injections and beauty treatments, the new rooms will offer skin rejuvenation and laser hair removal services.

The business has been shut this week to allow for building work, but will resume trading as normal on Tuesday, with the new facilities expected to open some time in February.

The expansion coincides with the fifth anniversary of Health Foods For You’s relocation to larger premises in North Street, when it took on its current extended name, after opening Nature’s Temple.

Having traded at a smaller site next door for eight years, the shop moved in March 2020 – just as the Covid-19 pandemic forced a national lockdown.

Owner Jane Pearson said that, despite the challenging first year as the business tried to navigate in and out of lockdown, the support and loyalty of its customers had helped to make the venture a success.

“I find myself now, five years later, with the business doing really well,” she said. “Throughout sheer determination and belief, we have managed to make it work.

“Nature’s Temple seems to have taken off. I employ two staff and the other rooms are hired by visiting practitioners.

“It has been really well-received, so I’ve made the decision to accommodate two more therapy rooms to meet demand.

“The treatments we offer are all holistic. If someone wants a supplement to help with their energy, we might also offer a massage to complement that. The synergy works really well.

“I’m lucky to have a very mature and knowledgeable team. We’ve got some really lovely and loyal customers.”

Jane added that the existing retail aspect of the business, offering health foods, remedies and personal care items, would continue as before.
