Police, ambulance and the fire service were in attendance at the Greystones roundabout in Grangetown, Middlesbrough this morning (January 15) just before 9.20am after the lorry overturned.
The HGV, which was carrying a yellow shipment container, had overturned onto its left side – leaving its windscreen smashed and roof damaged.
(Image: TERRY BLACKBURN) Nobody is understood to have been injured – but the road remains closed whilst emergency services recover the lorry.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: “At 9.15am on Wednesday 15 January police were called to the Greystones roundabout on the A1053 following reports of an overturned lorry.
“There are no reports of any injuries. A road closure is in place on the roundabout to Lackenby while the lorry is recovered.”

A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to a road traffic incident this morning (15 January) at 9:18am on Greystones roundabout in Grangetown.
“We dispatched one ambulance crew and one clinical team leader and we assessed and discharged on scene.”
