Grey’s Anatomy stars Kevin McKidd and Danielle Savre visit Saltburn

Scottish actor Kevin McKidd and American actress Danielle Savre – who have been romantically linked for several years – posted a string of festive-filled pictures on Instagram last week.

And eagle-eyed followers noticed that within the gallery of pictures were several snaps with some famous Teesside sights in the backdrop.

Danielle, who plays Maya Bishop in Grey’s Anatomy and spinoff Station 19, wrapped up warm with a white beanie and cream scarf to pose for a picture in front of Huntcliff, from the top of Saltburn Bank.

The smiling star then posted a short romantic video with Kevin, who plays Dr Owen Hunt in the drama and has also starred in Trainspotting, down on the Promenade right by the seafront.

The pair appear to be having a blast in the seaside town in the PDA-filled video and clearly chose the right day to visit with clear skies allowing for stunning views across the coast.

Other pictures in the gallery offered a glimpse into some of the couple’s festive celebrations with family and friends, seemingly taken in Scotland, where the post is tagged.

The caption states: “Had a holly jolly Christmas… hope you all did too!”

According to IMDb, Kevin has featured in a staggering 357 episodes of Grey’s Anatomy between 2008 and 2024, while Danielle starred in six between 2020 and 2023.

Danielle has however appeared in spinoff Station 19 for 105 episodes as character Maya since 2018 and has also enjoyed roles in Malcolm in the Middle and Too Close to Home.

While Danielle is from California, Kevin was born and raised in Elgin, Scotland, and attended the University of Edinburgh, so it comes as no surprise that he knows some of the best spots to visit across the North.
