Graduate Art Show exhibition returning to Vanner Gallery

The Vanner Gallery, in High Street, will present the Graduate Art Show from Friday, January 10.

The exhibition is the result of a national open call, inviting artists graduating in 2024 to submit work.

Last year, around 800 students sent in work from which the gallery selected 20 to show in the city.

Now well established, it also produces an exhibition of graduate work at London’s prestigious Woolff Gallery.

At present, the Vanner Gallery is the only gallery outside London showing the exhibition, making it a particular attraction for residents.

Many of the most prestigious art schools in the country have alumni in the exhibition, including the Royal College of Art, Goldsmiths and the University for the Creative Arts.

This year, the Vanner Gallery will award a prize to its winner from the Salisbury selection.

Vanner Gallery director David Christie said: “This exhibition is now a firm favourite in our programme and a great way to start the year.

“It’s incredibly exciting to see so much new work and to show artists at the start of their careers.

“And we have gone on to show artists from previous graduate shows again, so it’s a great way to build relationships with the next generation.”

The exhibition opens on Friday, January 10 and runs until Saturday, February 1.
