Fresh details revealed for Ingleby Barwick Tomahawk takeaway

Last month, new signs were spotted across the housing estate confirming the popular steakhouse chain would be opening a new venue at Lowfields Shops.

The firm has now confirmed it plans to open the new takeaway in mid-February – and The Northern Echo can now reveal some of the exciting grub set to be served up at the site.

It’s a Tomahawk staple – and so it is only right that steak is up for grabs at the Ingleby takeaway.

And thankfully, bosses have confirmed they will be selling steak and fries to go, alongside an “amazing” selection of smashed burgers and its “famous” shawarma chicken.

Sunday dinner lovers are also in for a treat as the takeaway will feature a full selection of meats for Sunday lunch to go, having had huge success with dinners at other restaurants.

There will also be a beef-style kebab, which is unique to Tomahawk Ingleby, with a sandwiches, cakes, desserts, and a milkshake section also on the menu.

The site will be open from 11am until late for seven days a week, and will be offering both collections and delivery.

As previously reported, new signs advertising the takeaway shot up across the estate in recent months, including at the Low Lane roundabout and the Ingleby Way and Barwick Way roundabout.

The takeaway marks Tomahawk’s first venture into Ingleby Barwick, with the firm already boasting locations on Yarm High Street, at Acklam Hall in Middlesbrough, and in Potto.

Its opening comes several months after Tomahawk opened a new location in the Metrocentre in Gateshead, next to the Odeon Cinema in the upper Yellow Mall.

A new fish and chip shop from Tomahawk is also planned for Yarm High Street, as previously reported in The Northern Echo.

The chippy will be opening in the unit previously used by Tomahawk for a takeaway, before it was taken over by the now-departed Greedy Ted’s.

It is not currently known when the new Yarm fish and chip shop will open.
