Birmingham Airport has had an impressive year, with airlines such as Ryanair, easyJet and Jet2 all announcing new routes from the Midlands airport.
Several entire new destinations have also been unlocked, with passengers having an even greater choice of summer holiday destinations when flying from Birmingham.

1. Salerno, Italy
Jet2 has launched a service to the new Amalfi Coast (Salerno) Airport, with flights jetting off as of May 2025.
The Amalfi Coast, located on Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula, holds UNESCO World Heritage site status and is an unforgettable holiday destination, known for its stunning Neapolitan Riviera scenery and beautiful beaches.
Flights to the port city of Salerno will unlock a gorgeous part of Italy for those flying from Birmingham to explore.
2. Jerez, Spain
From May 2025, sunseekers will be able to jet to the stunning Costa de la Luz in Spain, with Jet2 flights to Jerez via Faro Airport.
Meaning ‘the coast of light’, the Costa de la Luz is home to unspoiled stretches of sandy beaches, intricate architecture and a rich Andalusian history.
Jet2 said jet-setters travelling to the Andalusian coast in Southern Spain via Jerez Airport will be able to choose from a wide range of 3 to 5-star hotels across these six resorts in the Costa de la Luz with Jet2Holidays.
3. Gibraltar
easyJet will be offering flights to the sunny island of Gibraltar from June 2025.
A destination steeped in history and known for its wildlife and water sports, Gibraltar is a stunning country with plenty to explore.
4. Bordeaux, France
Another addition to esayJet’s roster of destinations from Birmingham is the beautiful city of Bordeaux in southern France.
Known as the wine capital of the world, this city is known for its rich culture and beautiful scenery.

5. Poros, Greece
Jet2 has launched three new routes to the gorgeous Greek islands for the summer of 2025, one of which is to the island of Poros.
The quaint island is somewhat of a hidden gem of Greece, known for its crystal clear waters and charming towns, as well as idyllic beaches.
A flight to Athens Airport followed by a ferry transfer, which is included in Jet2 prices, to the island will transport you from Birmingham straight to the set of Mamma Mia!
