A fire that took place just yards from the door of an Elgin home is no longer thought to have been started deliberately.
However, Police Scotland has not declared what it believes caused the blaze.

The blaze was extinguished and nobody was injured. However, “considerable alarm” was caused to nearby residents, who were in their homes at the time.
Police officers investigating originally believed that the incident was started deliberately and were appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.
Earlier this week Detective Constable Steven Borzoni said: “The fire was set alight while there were occupants in nearby premises.
“It has caused a small rupture to a gas pipe which has since been repaired.
“The incident caused considerable alarm to residents and I would urge anyone with information about what happened to speak to officers.
“If you were in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious or have CCTV or dashcam footage which may have captured something of significance then please contact us.”
However, police have now changed their opinion on the situation.
A force spokesperson said: “A fire in Elgin is no longer being treated as wilful.
“Bins on Waulkmill Road were found to be on fire around 2.10am on Saturday, December 28. The fire was initially believed to be wilful but following extensive enquiry, no criminality was established.
“Thank you to all who assisted with the enquiry.”
