Kyle Anderson-McGregor, of Fife College, is one of 30 students across Scotland chosen as Young Scottish Chef Ambassadors by the Federation of Chefs Scotland.
The initiative was launched to mark the 30th anniversary of Scottish Chefs and aims to inspire ambitious trainee chefs to engage more deeply with the industry.
Alongside fellow Fife College students Leah Carstairs, of Cupar, and Chelsea Dick, of Glenrothes, Mr Anderson-McGregor will participate in various industry activities throughout the year.
These include masterclasses, competitions, supplier visits, field trips, and events ranging from fine-dining experiences to large-scale functions such as football matches and concerts.
Barry Scott, academic and quality manager in the department of culinary arts, hospitality and events at Fife College, said: “We are thrilled that Kyle, Leah, and Chelsea have been chosen for this prestigious programme.
“It will enhance their industry knowledge, benefit their studies, and provide valuable experiences to share with their peers.
“This opportunity will also help them build networks and skills that are crucial for their future careers.”
The students will also take part in the Scottish Culinary Championships at ScotHot in Glasgow in February.
