Drumnadrochit’s Fiddler’s Highland Restaurant lodges plan for larger outdoor food hut

The food truck at Fiddlers (pictured right) will be replaced by a larger food hut which would be angled flush against the wall of the neighbouring building (right).

A successful Drumnadrochit business is looking to increase the size of its outdoor hot and cold food hut.

Visitors to the Loch Ness-side village will be well familiar with The Fiddlers Café and Bar, which sits near to the green.

It is a popular spot with visitors. and looks set to expand its ability to cater for those seeking to eat out after lodging plans with Highland Council which would result in it replacing is existing outdoor food hut with a larger one.

Under the proposals the new, larger hut, which will be clad in timber, will sit in the same spot as the existing one, but on a slightly different alignment that will run it flush with the wall of the neighbouring Loch Ness Gifts building.

It will boast separate serving hatches for fish & chips and ice creams and be roughly twice the length of the existing food truck.
