A 58-year-old woman was hit by a car near the North Circular and declared dead at the scene

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision in Edmonton.
Police were called at about 12.45am on 31st December to reports of black Peugeot 208 colliding with a female pedestrian in Argon Road at the junction with Albany Road, which is under the North Circular flyover.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. Despite their efforts, the 58-year-old woman died at the scene.
Her next of kin have been informed and continue to be supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s roads and transport policing command are investigating. They would like to speak with anyone who saw the collision or captured it on dash cam.
