The employee-owned retirement village in Middleton-St-George has welcomed Adam Wardale to the new role.
He joined the team at the start of December, having previously been the general manager at the listed Middletons Hotel in York.
Middleton Hall Retirement Village is based in Middleton-St-George (Image: Supplied) Mr Wardale has more than 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, a degree in hospitality management from Cornell, and was chair of the York Hospitality Association.
He said: “I wasn’t actively looking for a new role, but when I learned more about the position and the potential at Middleton Hall Retirement Village, it resonated deeply with me.
“The focus on community and people-centred values really stood out.”
He added: “As soon as I drove up the entrance drive, I could see myself being part of this every day.
“The team was so welcoming, and the culture here immediately clicked.
“I could really see how my background and experience could make a positive impact.”
The retirement village is employee-owned (Image: Supplied) Mr Wardale was awarded a scholarship to attend Cornell University’s hospitality programme in 2024, and in 2022, he was recognised as an ‘Unsung Hero’ by Visit England for his contributions to hospitality and the community.
