Callum Piper, from Stockton, tragically passed away on December 19 after suffering a sudden asthma attack.
His unexpected death has left his family and community devastated, particularly as he was eagerly anticipating the birth of his baby son, who will be named Callum after his late dad, with his partner Elle McKie.
He was also a father to four-year-old Delilah.
To help ease the financial burden of funeral expenses and costs that come at a sad time like this, Jack McCabe and his family have stepped forward to organise a sponsored walk from Hardwick to Middlesbrough’s Riverside Stadium and back.
Callum’s brother Bradley and mother Michelle have both felt like they ‘have lost their right arm’ as they have been described as being very close. Therefore the McCabe family want to do as much as they can to help them.

Jack, who grew up alongside Callum described the event as a way to pay tribute to his friend and offer support to his family.

“Callum loved going to the football games with us and was rarely in a position where he could go to the games so we as a family used to always take him to the Middlesbrough games and always enjoyed having him around to experience this. That’s where he found his love for the club.
“We just want to try and raise as much money as possible for this cause to help everyone through this tough time.”
Donations raised from the walk will go directly towards covering the costs of Callum’s funeral, which is scheduled to take place on Friday, January 10, 3pm. at Stockton Crematorium. Followed by a celebration of life at Roseworth Club.
If anyone would like to donate to the cause you can through their GoFundMe page.
