Chesil Theatre to showcase Life x 3 by Yasmina Reza

The Chesil Theatre will present Life x 3 by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton.

Running from Saturday, January 18 to Saturday, January 25, the play features a comic storyline unfolding over one evening with the same two couples but three different outcomes.

The plot follows Henri and Sonia, who, after putting their six-year-old son to bed, receive an unexpected visit from dinner guests Hubert and Ines, a day early.

There’s nothing to eat except cheesy Wotsits and chocolate fingers. But there’s no shortage of wine.

The play then explores whether the evening can be salvaged, with Henri needing his boss Hubert’s support to progress his career in the competitive field of astrophysics.

The story presents three separate conclusions in three different scenes.

Performances of Life x 3 will be at 7.30pm on Saturday, January 18 and January 20 to 25, with a matinee at 2.30pm on Sunday, January 19.

Tickets are available on the Chesil Theatre website.
