The Tap House was featured in the show’s latest episode, with its owners, the Higgs family admitting they have found it difficult to hold in their “exciting” secret until the show aired.
The pub, which is located next to Hartebury Railway Station, served as the spot where both families featured in the show met for the first time after having swapped lives for a week to see how the other lived.
David Higgs has owned The Tap House since 2018 with his daughter, Abbie Higgs, working alongside him as the assistant manager.
He said: “It was nice of them to choose our pub.
“Both families and all the production crew were very polite and really nice, and they loved Abbie’s cakes!”

Abbie discovered her love for baking when she started out by making the desserts for the Tap House, before starting her own company selling her bakes after the pandemic.
She said: “The families were lovely and we had a great time filming with them.”
She added that she loves working with her family and said it was “amazing” to see the Tap House featured on national television.
The pub was approached by Channel 5 and filming took place in May 2024, almost eight months before the episode aired last Sunday, January 5.
The Tap House serves fresh, home-cooked food daily and brew their own beer, in their small, on-site brewery.
