Burns Night 2025: See the best Ayrshire events taking place

Robert Burns, who was born in the town of Alloway in 1759, is widely recognised around the globe for iconic works like Auld Lang Syne and Tam O’Shanter.

He spent much of his life espousing what were, at the time, radical political views and promoting the Scots language.

Ayr United Burns Night – The Ally MacLeod Suite

From 7:30pm, Ayr United will host a Burns Night event at The Ally MacLeod Suite, serving all the traditional staples of a supper, including haggis, neeps and tatties.

Tickets will cost £45 per person and be available on the Ayr United website.

Alloway Burns Club Anniversary Dinner – Western House Hotel

The Alloway Burns Club is welcoming everyone to its annual celebrations at 6:30pm on January 25.

Those interested should email secretary@allowayburnsclub.org.uk. Tickets for the event cost around £38 per person.

Burns Birthday Bash – Robert Burns Birthplace Museum

The Robert Burns Birthplace Museum will be packed with excitement this month as it launches a “birthday bash” for the bard.

It will feature everything from a family-friendly ceilidh, fantastic food and, of course, a spectacular display.

Visitors will arrive at the museum to the sound of bagpipes before enjoying a traditional Scottish party in good company.

Cumnock Burns Supper – New Cumnock Town Hall

Having been held annually for over 100 years, The Cumnock Burns Club supper is returning once again and will be held at the New Cumnock Town Hall on February 1.

The event is free for all to attend thanks to funding from the New Cumnock Development Trust and the 9CC group.
