Brendoncare in Winchester appoints new chief executive

Brendoncare has appointed Michael Crutchley as its new chief executive.

Mr Crutchley has been Brendoncare’s director of care and wellbeing since April 2023 and will begin his new role immediately.

He brings more than 25 years of experience in health and social care to the role, having started as a healthcare assistant in 1997 before qualifying as a mental health nurse.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Crutchley said: “I am inspired by the work that Brendoncare does, and by our teams who work together to deliver it.

“I am deeply motivated to continually improve how we deliver care and support, and so it is a privilege to lead an organisation where that is always our priority.”

Phil Dowson, chair of Brendoncare, said: “We are thrilled that Michael will now lead our organisation as we continue our important work to improve the lives of older people.”

Brendoncare was founded in February 1984 and provides care homes, extra care housing, community clubs and support services for older people across the south of England.
