Best primary schools in Worcestershire revealed

Children are assessed at the end of year 6 as they leave primary school.

The latest performance figures show 61% of children across England reached the expected standard across reading, writing and maths when assessed at the end of the 2023-24 academic year.

In Worcestershire this was 57%.

But which schools in the area performed the best? We rank the top 10 below.

1. Hanley Swan St Gabriel’s with St Mary’s Church of England Primary School, and Inkberrow Primary School

In joint-first place are Hanley Swan St Gabriel’s with St Mary’s Church of England Primary School, and Inkberrow Primary School.

Some 88% of pupils at the school met the expected standard in reading, writing and maths.

3. Beaconside Primary and Nursery School, and Holy Redeemer Catholic Primary School, and Malvern Wyche Church of England Primary School

With 86% of pupils meeting the expected standard, Beaconside Primary and Nursery School, and Holy Redeemer Catholic Primary School, and Malvern Wyche Church of England Primary School come third on the podium of the best performing primary schools in Worcestershire.

6. Sutton Park Primary School

In sixth place, is Sutton Park Primary School.

The expected standard was met by 83% of pupils here.

7. Claines Church of England Primary School, and Tenbury Church of England Primary School

Just behind are Claines Church of England Primary School, and Tenbury Church of England Primary School, where 80% of pupils met the required standard by the end of year 6.

9. Clent Parochial Primary School, and St Wulstan’s Catholic Primary School

In joint-ninth place are Clent Parochial Primary School, and St Wulstan’s Catholic Primary School.

At these schools, 79% of pupils met the required standard.
