Edward Trevett, of Barnard Street, Salisbury, also smashed a coffee shop window and assaulted a police officer in a string of offences committed from 2022 to 2024.
The 26-year-old was told to seek treatment for alcohol dependency and attend rehabilitation activities when he was sentenced by magistrates on December 12.
In October 2023, Trevett burgled two bakeries in Sidmouth, Devon, taking more than £1,300.
He first targeted Jar Bakery on Fore Street on October 7, taking £725.55.
Trevett then trespassed into the stockroom of The Bagel Shop on Cross Lane on October 25, stealing £593.95.

On October 4, 2024, Trevett damaged a car wing mirror, smashed a window at a Costa Coffee shop and attacked an on-duty police constable in Salisbury.
He was sentenced at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court, where he was told to pay £593.95 in compensation to Jar Bakery and £350 to The Bagel Shop.
Trevett was also told to repay the woman whose bank account he withdrew money from and £100 to the police officer he assaulted.
He was ordered to “seek non-residential treatment for alcohol dependency under the supervision of the Probation Service” and “attend rehabilitation activities for 40 days”.
