An appeal for witnesses has been launched following a break-in at a city centre shop.

Ragazzi Clothing, on Yorke Street, was targeted by thieves during the early hours of Tuesday 14 January.

Police say that at 2:15am officers received a report that a window of a shop had bene smashed.

Two men were reportedly seen placing items into a bag, before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.

The vehicle was quickly stopped by officers, but the suspects made off and remain outstanding.

Ragazzi Clothing was forced to remain closed yesterday, with the company posting a statement on social media: “Unfortunately our Wrexham Store won’t be open today as we had unwanted visitors last night helping themselves to winter jackets and various other items.

“Just what a small local independent business needs in the quietest month of the year.

“We will be open as soon as we can, our website is still shipping as normal. Thanks for the support from our loyal customers.”

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information in relation to the incident is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101, or via the website, using reference number 2500034237.
