It has definitely been a year of celebration after many restaurants, pubs and bakeries were given accolades for the good food they serve.
We have compiled a list of all the winning Worcestershire eateries recognised nationally in 2024.
The Queen Elizabeth Inn
Where: Elmley Castle, near Pershore
PROUD: Staff at the Queen Elizabeth Inn in Elmley Castle were delighted to pick up the award (Image: Queen Elizabeth Inn) The Queen Elizabeth Inn in Elmley Castle, near Pershore, has been a pub for over 150 years with records showing the building serving ale while a tailoring business was also using the premises.
This year marked its sixth of coming out on top in the Good Food Awards.
Peter Cooks Bread
Where: The Hopmarket, Worcester
PLEASED: Peter Doughty-Cook, the co-owner of Peter Cooks Bread. (Image: Peter Cooks Bread) Worcester is now home to one of the best bakeries in the West Midlands after Peter Cooks Bread in The Hopmarket won the prestigious title.
The judges did not just award the bakery for its bread, but for other aspects of the business such as how the bakery is run and its social media presence.
The Ewe and Lamb
Where: Hanbury Road, Stoke Prior
OpenTable decided to name The Ewe and Lamb among the top 100 outdoor restaurants in the UK for 2024.
The site said: “The all-new Ewe & Lamb delivers an exciting, unique eating and drinking concept to Bromsgrove, which we’re sure you’ll be delighted with.
“The bar and restaurant offers a wide variety of the finest in modern British cuisine with Mediterranean influences.”
Vasaanti
Where: High Street, Droitwich
THE BEST: Staff from Vasaanti posing with their award. (Image: Vasaanti) The family-run restaurant was thrilled to be named one of the best Indian Restaurants in Worcestershire.
Vasaanti was crowned the title after winning the Tommy Miah’s International Indian Chef & Hospitality Awards in Edinburgh.
The Fleece Inn
Where: The Cross, Bretforton
The pub is near Evesham (Image: The Fleece Inn. Credit: James Dobson/National Trust) OpenTable decided to name The Fleece Inn among the top 100 outdoor restaurants in the UK for 2024.
It said: “The Fleece Inn is the perfect rural retreat, the quintessential English country pub.
“Just a stone’s throw from the beautiful Cotswolds and boasting roaring open fires for the winter months.”
Spice Fusion
Where: A49, Dunhampton
STAR APPEAL: Spice Fusion has even seen celebrities like Matt Le Tissier come in to try their menu. (Image: Spice Fusion) Spice Fusion, a south Asian restaurant in Dunhampton, near Droitwich, received the Good Food Award for its outstanding menu and service.
The restaurant has been serving customers for 18 years and has built up a huge following.
Feli’s bar & restaurant
Where: Hawbridge, Stoulton

If Italian food is more your style, then Feli’s Bar and Restaurant was named one of the best Italian restaurants and cookery schools in the area.
Husband and wife duo Felice and Fiorinda Tocchini set up the business 20 years ago this year and said were rightly delighted with the announcement.
The Quayside
Where: Sandy Lane Industrial Estate, Stourport Marina
Staff at The Quayside were “blown away” when they were named the best restaurant in the county at the England Business Awards 2024.
Describing the win as a “whirlwind”, the whole team gathered to celebrate the occasion at the black tie event in Birmingham on Sunday, May 5.
Co-owner and head chef Scott Applegarth, aged 50, said: “We were just blown away. The whole evening was an absolute whirlwind and a bit of a blur.”
